About

Who Are We?

Our Story

In the mid 1980s, the United Methodist Church felt God leading it to spread the life changing love of Christ to the people of southeast Arlington. St. Andrew’s established its presence in this community with our first services in 1986 at Atherton Elementary School.

We put down permanent roots when we broke ground on six acres of land on Green Oaks Boulevard in 1991. As the community in and around southeast Arlington grew, so did St. Andrew’s. Our facilities have continued to expand to meet the needs of our growing congregation.

Over the years, gifted pastors and strong lay leadership have led us to share God’s love with our community. As a United Methodist Church we are connected to a worldwide network of churches that work together to change the lives of people across the globe.

We are a diverse congregation open to all people. Our members feel a part of a warm family, whether they’re single, a couple, a small or large family, young or old. We invite you to get LINK’d with St. Andrew’s and become a part of our continuing story to spread the life changing love of Christ in the world.

What We Believe

We believe that:

*The Bible is God’s self-revelation;
*God created the universe and all that is in it;
*God loves us and longs to be in relationship with us;
*In Jesus of Nazareth, God became human;
*Jesus reconciles us to God;
*As his followers, we are called to live like Jesus lived.

What To Expect

We invite you to join us for worship of our Lord..

How should I dress? We welcome you to dress comfortably and be yourself. Most people at St. Andrew’s dress somewhat casually while others dress up.

What do I do when I get there?  When you walk in the front doors a friendly person will greet you and welcome you to St. Andrew’s. They can also answer any questions that you might have.

What happens during worship? You will receive a worship guide as you enter the Sanctuary. It will give you an idea of what to expect during our time together.
We want you to enjoy your time with us and encourage you to participate in the service. Before service, and during greeting time, it is easy to meet a lot of new people seated around you! We want to be sure you feel welcome. We’ll give some simple instructions throughout the service to let you know when to stand or sit. During our time together we will sing, pray, read scripture, and hear a message. The service usually lasts about an hour, but may last a little longer.

Can I bring my child? We welcome children of all ages at St. Andrew’s. There is infant and toddler child care available during all services as well as children’s Sunday School for kids and youth during the 10:45 am service.
